[Annual 40kt Power Battery Recycling Project Announced] A key power battery recycling project in Luoyuan County, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, capable of processing 40kt of scrap batteries annually, focuses on recycling scrap ternary batteries and producing high-value-added materials. It is currently in the environmental impact assessment public notification stage. The project, constructed by Fujian Desheng New Building Materials Co., Ltd. within the existing plant area of the Jingang Industrial Zone, Luoyuan Bay Development Zone, Luoyuan County, Fuzhou City, involves building a new comprehensive utilization production line for scrap ternary battery (lithium battery) recycling using existing workshops and land plots, covering a land area of 60.95 mu and a total floor area of 52,587.6 square meters.

 

[Anhui Billion-Yuan Battery Recycling Project Launched] Recently, the official website of the Bengbu Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau published the acceptance notice for the environmental impact assessment report of the Scrap Lithium Battery Comprehensive Utilization Project by Anhui Chengrui Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The project is located within the Lin'gang Industrial Park industrial cluster in the Bengbu Economic Development Zone, Anhui. The total project investment is 100 million yuan, and the proposed project will be constructed in three phases: Phase I investment is 12 million yuan; Phase II investment is 20 million yuan; Phase III investment is 68 million yuan; the environmental protection investment is 8.61 million yuan, accounting for 8.61% of the project investment. Phase I involves second-life application of power batteries, with a designed annual capacity of 7kt of second-life batteries; Phase II involves the disassembly and utilization of scrap batteries, with a processing scale of 3kt per year of non-reusable scrap lithium battery monomers; Phase III involves the construction of a smart factory. It will construct lithium battery disassembly workshops, production and processing workshops, raw material and finished product warehouses, etc., primarily engaged in the second-life application, processing, disassembly, and reuse of lithium batteries. Upon completion, the project will process 10kt of lithium batteries annually (including 7kt for second-life application).

 

[New Battery Recycling Enterprise Enters the Market] To align with the global carbon reduction trend, respond to battery product carbon footprint management requirements, and comply with domestic and overseas regulations on battery sustainability, Beijing Easpring Material Technology Co., Ltd. is actively developing its presence in the battery recycling sector to further build a secure and stable supply chain system and fulfill its corporate responsibility for green development. The company, along with Beijing BGRIMM Resources & Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., the Pizhou Circular Economy Industrial Park Development and Construction Co., Ltd., and Chengtong Science and Technology Innovation Investment Fund (Beijing) Partnership (Limited Partnership) (referred to as "Chengtong Science and Technology Innovation Investment Fund"), signed an Investment Cooperation Agreement on October 16, 2025. They plan to jointly establish a joint venture company, BGRIMM Resources & Environmental Technology (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. (the specific name is subject to the approval information from the registration authority), in Pizhou City, Jiangsu Province, which will be responsible for the green recycling of scrap lithium-ion power batteries and related businesses.

 

 

[Latest Progress on Hunan Zijin's 60kt Lithium Carbonate Project] It is understood that the Hunan Zijin Lithium Multi-metal New Materials Co., Ltd. annual 60kt lithium carbonate project has a total investment of 5.856 billion yuan. Not long ago, the company's 3Q Salt Lake project with an annual output of 20,000 mt of lithium carbonate officially commenced production, marking the beginning of the volume expansion phase for Zijin's lithium sector.

 

[100kt LFP Material Bulk Order Secured] Shandong Fengyuan Chemical announced on the evening of October 20 that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shandong Fengyuan Lithium Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fengyuan Lithium Energy"), recently entered into an LFP Cooperation Framework Agreement with Cornex New Energy Co., Ltd., Xiaogan Cornex New Energy Innovation Technology Co., Ltd., and Yichang Cornex New Energy Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (collectively referred to as "CORNEX New Energy"). The agreement stipulates that Fengyuan Lithium Energy will supply 100,000 mt of LFP cathode material products to CORNEX New Energy over the next three years, effective from September 20, 2025, to December 31, 2028. Both parties may negotiate an extension before the agreement expires based on the cooperation progress.

 

[New Progress on 100kt Lithium Battery Second-Life Application Project in Anhui] Recently, the Management Committee of Bengbu High-tech Industrial Development Zone published the full text of the "Environmental Impact Analysis Statement for Non-Major Changes of the Second-Life Application Project for New Energy Vehicle Power Batteries by Anhui Jinxiangzi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd." for public review. The project has a total investment of 300 million yuan, including 3.2 million yuan allocated for environmental protection, accounting for 1.07% of the total investment. The project involves the annual collection and second-life application of 100,000 mt of lithium batteries, and will be constructed in two phases: Phase I with an annual recycling capacity of 40,000 mt, and Phase II with an annual recycling capacity of 60,000 mt of power batteries from new energy vehicles. The breakdown includes LCO lithium-ion batteries (monomer) 3,000 t/a, ternary lithium-ion batteries 6,500 t/a, LFP batteries 4,000 t/a, LMO lithium-ion batteries 1,500 t/a, positive pole pieces 30,000 t/a (10,000 t/a in Phase I), and negative pole pieces 55,000 t/a (15,000 t/a in Phase I).

 

[200kt Lithium Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project Launched in Sichuan] Recently, the Ya'an Hanyuan Ecological Environment Bureau publicized the "Environmental Impact Report (Draft for Comments) for the Comprehensive Recovery and Utilization Project of Lithium-Containing Solid Waste Slag by Sichuan Jinhong Resource Recycling Co., Ltd." The project plans to establish a comprehensive recovery and utilization production line for 200,000 t/a of solid waste slag, with a total construction area of 20,968 m².

 

[Phase II of 30kt Battery-Grade Lithium Carbonate Project Announced] The second-phase project of Anhui Xinyijiyuan Technology, with a planned investment of 500 million yuan, will establish a 100,000 mt lithium-containing material resource recycling system. This serves as an intermediate step of the larger 3 billion yuan "30,000 mt per year battery-grade lithium carbonate" project. Upon reaching full production, it is expected to help the enterprise achieve an annual output value exceeding 8 billion yuan.

 

[40,000 mt Power Battery Recycling, Dismantling, and Second-Life Application Project Launched] Recently, the environmental impact report for the power battery recycling, dismantling, and second-life application project of Shaanxi Zhihe Chuangshun Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. was approved. The project utilizes existing standardized factory buildings, raw material warehouses, finished product warehouses, office complexes, and environmental protection treatment stations, among other facilities, to construct two power battery recycling production lines (crushing, drying, screening, grinding), one power battery disassembly production line, and one battery second-life application production line, along with corresponding environmental protection works. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual capacity of recycling and disassembling 20,000 mt of power batteries and an annual second-life application capacity of 20,000 mt of power batteries. The total investment in this project is 110 million yuan, including 870,000 yuan for environmental protection, accounting for 0.79% of the total investment.

 

[40kt Lithium Battery Recycling Project Accelerates Construction] Located in the Tumen Park of the Gulang Industrial Concentration Zone, the Gansu Chenyue Yuchen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. annual 40kt scrap lithium battery comprehensive utilization and zero-carbon resource recycling industrial park project covers an area of 57,000 m². It integrates lithium battery second-life application, material regeneration, and energy storage system integration. Upon completion, it is expected to annually process 40,000 mt of end-of-life batteries, with an estimated annual output value of 1 billion yuan.

 

 

[50kt End-of-Life Power Battery Second-Life Application Project Launched] Recently, the relevant website officially released the "First Public Notice on the Environmental Impact Assessment for the End-of-Life Power Battery Second-Life Application and Resource Recycling Project of Zhongke Luyuan (Hebei) Recycling Technology Co., Ltd." This project will be constructed in two phases, with only the first phase being built currently. The project occupies 192.49 mu, with a total floor area of approximately 76,408.32 m². The first phase covers a floor area of 26,103.32 m², primarily including an R&D center (approx. 2,346.6 m²), an office building (approx. 2,995.49 m²), employee dormitories, a canteen, and other auxiliary facilities (approx. 4,694.65 m²), a warehouse (approx. 3,471.79 m²), and a production workshop (12,594.79 m²). The first phase plans to procure five end-of-life power battery disassembly and second-life production lines, achieving a production capacity of 50,000 mt/year.

 

[Shaanxi 40kt Power Battery Recycling Project Launched] On October 11, the environmental impact statement for the power battery recycling, disassembly, and second-life application project of Shaanxi Zhihe Chuangshun Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. was approved. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual capacity of recycling and disassembling 20,000 mt of power batteries and an annual second-life application capacity of 20,000 mt of power batteries. The total investment in this project is 110 million yuan, including 870,000 yuan for environmental protection, accounting for 0.79% of the total investment.

 

[50kt Lithium Battery Recycling Project Signed and Launched] On October 11, the Dongbao Industrial Park signed an agreement with Jiangsu Huasheng Lianying New Energy Material Co., Ltd. and Hubei Senterior New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. for an annual 50,000 mt lithium battery recycling anode material project, with a planned total investment of 1.06 billion yuan. It is reported that the project is invested by a publicly listed firm specializing in lithium battery additive materials and plans to build intelligent production lines integrating scrap lithium battery recycling, anode material regeneration, and high-purity graphite production. Upon full project completion, annual sales revenue is expected to reach 1.5 billion yuan.

 

[30kt Lithium Battery Recycling Project in Jiangsu] Recently, the Nantong Municipal Data Bureau officially issued the approval for the environmental impact assessment report of the vehicle recycling and dismantling and lithium battery recycling project by Jiangsu Aosem Technology Co., Ltd. The project is located at No. 6 Weiwu Road, Dongling Industrial Concentration Area, Dayu Town, Rudong County, Nantong City. The total project investment is 500 million yuan, including 4.692 million yuan in environmental protection investment, accounting for 0.9384% of the total investment. After completion, the project is expected to achieve an annual production scale of recycling and dismantling 20,000 vehicles, 10,000 mt of retired ternary lithium batteries, and 20,000 mt of retired LFP batteries.

 

[500kt Lithium Battery Recycling Project Lands in Guangzhou] The Guangzhou Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau officially released relevant announcements for the "500 kt/year Lithium Battery Recycling Low-Carbon Plant (Phase I: 103 kt/year) and High-End Lithium Battery Material R&D Center Project" by Guangdong Yu Hang New Energy Co., Ltd. The project is located in Huangge Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou. It is reported that the project has a grand plan and will construct multiple high-efficiency production lines, including an annual 15,000 mt LFP positive pole piece raw material pretreatment line, an 80,000 mt LFP powder to battery-grade lithium carbonate production line, and an 8,000 mt crude lithium carbonate to high-purity lithium carbonate refining production line.

 

[Battery Project Officially Commences Operation] Recently, according to local media reports, the battery cell factory and battery pack factory of the CATL Luoyang Base Phase II project officially commenced operation on September 30. As one of CATL's 13 major global production sites, the CATL Luoyang Base is constructed in four phases according to the "Lighthouse Factory + Zero-Carbon Factory" standard. Since the Phase I project commenced operation in November 2024, its cumulative output value has exceeded 10 billion yuan. The Phase II project plans to include 3 battery cell production lines and 10 PACK production lines. Upon reaching full production, it is expected to increase annual capacity by 30 GWh.
